ALEXANDER ZONCA
Biography
Coming from Denver, Colorado, I am now a student at the University of Arizona, and hopefully this website will illuminate a few things about myself and who I am. Being in the Eller college of business, I am studying supply chain and operations management with the intention of applying for the entrepreneurship program. Then, after graduating college, I plan on using both my degrees to create sustainable solutions for the future. There are so many issues with the environment and global supply chain right now that I feel obligated to try and help.

My Background
Growing up in Denver taught me many lessons which I would have never learned without having the upbringing that I did. For example, one of my most important core values is having a balanced lifestyle and the people who live in Denver exemplify how to do that. Many residents including myself enjoy going to the mountains on the weekend to ski or bike which is a great time and good to stay active. But, to get to the weekend I had to work hard in school and at work so I could relax later. Thus, learning how to keep both work and leisure in balance has helped me build a diverse set of skills.
On another note, Denver is one of the most eco-friendly cites in the country and has a reputation for sustainability. Using alternative methods of power such as solar or wind the city and its residents are proud to use reusable energy. This has rubbed off on me and made me more contentious of the environment and made me curious to find more sustainable solutions.
PROFICIENCIES
One of my favorite things to do is learn new skills and apply them to improve within areas of my life. Whether I’m working on a project for school or something of my own interest, there are always ways to improve and new skills to master. Having a diverse set of skills helps me to analyze problems from different angles and allow me to come up with creative solutions to difficult issues. Below, I have identified three of my most valued skills that could be useful for the business world and my life alike.
