PROFESSIONAL WRITING

Writing Emails
Being able to construct emails that are easy to understand and get to the point is an essential business skill which is needed for any position. This is no exception for supply chain management and maintaining a neutral tone is paramount. For example, looking to the left, it is important not to come off as harsh or mean when delivering bad news because the employee might be resentful and lash out.
Within supply chain management this skill would be useful when writing emails to upper management explaining what is wrong with their processes without sounding condescending. I would want them to implement my ideas and work with me so setting a neutral tone would help to accomplish that. Aside from sending emails, writing in a professional tone is also useful for analytical reports which I will cover next.
